The Low Budgets - Tape Over Hanson EP (2003) [2026 Remaster]

Imagen
Most of the Low Budgets rare material is available right now for free on their Bandcamp page. But the "Tape Over Hanson EP" I guess wasn't considered good enough of a recording to re-release. It is just as it sounds: the band recorded a 4-song demo on top of a Hanson tape. There's not much to say about this one. If you're from the tri-state area and you were in the punk rock scene when I was, then you know the Low Budgets are like the greatest band of all time. I tightened up the master so it's a lot more clear. I hope you like it. TRACKLIST ------------------ 1. O.E. in the AM 2. You Can't Control the Rock n' Rollers 3. Poseur Punker 4. Yeah the Don't DOWNLOAD and/or listen to it on YOUTUBE

None More Black - Live in West Philadelphia (2006)

Imagen
When I was 19, I applied for an internship at a combination studio and live space unfortunately called 'Philafunk Live' for this guy Todd and one other guy, both professional horn players I think. It was pretty cool. For a few months I got to help wire up a live room and a giant mixing console. We also had gotten a reputation with the famous Joe Hardcore who booked HxCx shows around Philly every weekend, mostly for R5 Productions. Working these matinees, I got to meet and work with lots of cool bands like Shai Hulud, Have Heart and, eventually, None More Black. The set-up in the venue was crazy because the live room was circular and pretty large but the recording booth was upstairs 20 feet above the heads of the bands and with the window facing away from the stage. We asked all the bands that came in if we could record them and they basically always said 'yes'. We had lots of good equipment but the recordings were pretty inconsistent since, every time you wanted to adju...

TWIN PEAKS - "Sings in Old Entish" (2026)

TWIN PEAKS - "Sings in Old Entish" (2026) So..... Aside from some remastered material (lots more to come!) and a B-Sides album, my main musical project Twin Peaks has not released an album of new music since 2013. So, it has been a very long time. This album itself features songs written as early as 2008 and the recording began in 2023. I played most of the instruments and sang and Tom Raggio played drums. Steve Guzzardo Recorded and mixed the drums and I recorded, produced and mastered the rest of the album. Mainly, the past 13 years have involved just being very busy at work but I've also worked on a number of other musical projects. In any case "Twin Peaks Sings in Old Entish" is finally here! Simply put, this is the best Twin Peaks album. I think the recording sounds really good. I think our performances are on point and every song is a banger. To be nearly 40 and putting out something like this feels pretty good. Thematically, it talks about the difficulti...

KFA - Absolution (2025)

KFA - Absolution (2025) It's with great pride that today we release the third KFA album "Absolution". Once again, this Doom-inspired HxCx crossover record features me (Jello) on vocals and Megaton on all instruments and programming. Marking an evolution in sound over the past three years, this album differentiates itself both sonically and thematically. The sound of the record is still very Doom and with a lot of early 90's hardcore influence, but the discerning listener will appreciate the influence of Ministry, acid rock and even some NWOBHM on the overall sound picture with confident use of tasteful keyboards, vintage guitar and bass tones and some complex song structures. There's a lot to enjoy. Lyrically, I really dug deep, delving into diverse themes such as Thomas Jefferson, quantum physics, spirituality, work culture and nuisance tourists, all delivered with a greater influence from horror punk vocalists. I genuinely love this record. For me at least, it...

KFA - Hell on Earth (2024)

Imagen
KFA - Hell on Earth (2024) KFA is back following their vicious 1st album "KFA" in 2023. I should note once again that I (Jello) am the singer in this band while all of the instrumentation and production is the pride of Megaton. If you were into the self-titled album, you'll certainly find "Hell on Earth" in good company. But, for the discerning listener, you'll find that our sophomore release goes even deeper into crossover thrash with early-90's HxCx and punk. There's a lot of sweet synth and guitar leads and a wide range of rhythm and tempo changes with an interplay of harsh and melodic vocals one doesn't often hear from the musical styles and era we most celebrate. Thematically, the album still discusses a lot of the themes of "Doom" (or, in this case "Doom 2") but also delves into other horrors such as dengue fever, zombies, unchecked capitalism, YouTube Shorts, Shitler and country clubs. Moreover, this record is awesome....

The Psychedelic Fuzz - Live on WKDU (2006) [2023 Remaster]

THE PSYCHEDELIC FUZZ - LIVE ON WKDU (2006) [2023 REMASTER] When I started at Drexel University in 2005, I wasn't too excited about being a student but I knew the main reason I wanted to go to the school was to work at 91.7 WKDU, the only free-format, non-commercial radio station in Philadelphia. This was at a critical point in Philly radio as well since our only designated rock station, WMMR, went off the air that year and if you wanted to hear weird or obscure or ambient or loud or obnoxious music, then we were the one-stop shop for anyone in about a 50-mile radius. I met Erica Corbo about as soon as I started the training process there and we became fast friends. Over the next few years, we were roommates and regularly contributed to each other's musical projects. I recorded the full-length album for her experimental, psych-folk jam band The Psychedelic Fuzz and then, a few months later, I produced a live session for them on WKDU (And, as the chief engineer, I briefly had t...

Eighty-D - First and Second Demos (2002-2003)

Imagen
Eighty-D - First and Second Demos (2002-2003) Eighty-D was a punk ska band formed around 2001 or so by some friends of mine at Central High School where I went in Philadelphia. There were different early line-ups but Billy played guitar and sang, Sharky played drums, Adam played bass, Rich sang (not on the demo) and Billy's cousin whose name I don't remember played lead guitar. I was pretty good friends with Billy and when he played me their first demo, I was blown away by how good of a songwriter he was. It was during an era when there was a lot of really good ska coming out mixed with pretty aggressive overly distorted guitars ala Against All Authority, Link-80 and Leftover Crack. And Eighty-D was definitely in their moment. Unfortunately, the only track title I can remember from the first demo is track 1, "Leroy X" but I still love this whole demo that was probably recorded some time in 2002. I did some mastering on it to tighten it up a bit. TRACKLIST 1. Leroy X ...
